At the began, there was a war of Vietnam and a lot of village get destroyed by enemy. Almost all of the place and infrastructure in the village have gone because of bomb and war of gun. Many of the villagers moved to the city to get a better life than live in the village. In fact, that was just made the city became more crowded because of many people live there. The city became a place with no hope for the transmigran, there were no jobs for them and they did not get better facilities to improve their lived.
Next, the Vietnamese decided to learn American English for prepare to move to America. They hoped if they move to America that could increase their value of life. They learned that language to make easy for communicate with the foreigner in America and help their live there to bring better life.
Overall, the Vietnamese need to safe their live from the war so they moved to America and learned American English to improve their life.
