Some experts believe that it is better for children to begin learning a foreign language at primary school rather than secondary school.
Do the advantages of this outweigh the disadvantages?

It is common belief by few experts that children should start learning a foreign language from the first days of their schooling and not in their adolescent age. In my view, this will have many prose over its cons.
With regard to the country like India where English is a foreign language for many parents, sending their kids to an institution where they can learn it is a costly affair. Also, children can not get the best out of any foreign course when they are not in the right environment.
Although there are few demerits of learning a foreign language but there can be several advantages too. If children can be introduce to a foreign language during their primary schooling, this will help them to have a good grasp on the language when they reach their secondary school. A good illustration to this point is my two childhood friends, one of them had started learning English as a foreign language when he was at his early stage in his life. While, the other one had started learning late due to which now he has to face many difficulties while doing the job where most of the work is in English only.
Another advantage of learning foreign language at an early age is that you will have a plenty of time ahead in your life where you can explore many aspects of it. last but not the least, learning foreign language and having a good command over it will help many people to look for career opportunities outside of their countries. And this confidence over the language can possibly be achieved by starting learning at an early stage of their lives.
To reiterate, It is always helpful to start learning a foreign language for children when they are in primary school and not starting late in secondary school to shape their career in a better way.
