The diagrams below show the water supply system in Australia at present and in future. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features.
A glance at the diagram provided reveals the information about the current water supply system and the ongoing plan in the future. Overall, the change in the system is based on water usage in the city.
Currently, according to the diagram, water which is ready for use is at first stored in the dam. The pure water then would be transferred to the city to be used by households, factories, and shops. From now on, the storm water kept in the city would be directly released into the river, whereas the wastewater would be directed to the water treatment plant for processing before being released into the river.
In the future, the route of the water supply is scheduled to be changed. The pure water still will be transferred into the city; nevertheless, storm water in the city will be directly sent to the water treatment plant. After storm water and wastewater being processed, the water will not be led to the river as before. The water will be transferred back to the city for residents for use instead.
