The threat of nuclear weapons maintains world peace. Nuclear power provides cheap and clean energy. The benefits of nuclear technology far outweigh the disadvantages. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
Maintaining world peace by using threatening of nuclear weapons and the subject of providing cheap and clean energy thanks to nuclear power is a controversy. Whereas some people support this type of energy by ignoring its disadvantages, I totally disagree. Because it can cause nonrecoverable problems such as eradication of mankind and destruction of the planet.
First of all, to believe that using nuclear weapons by powerful countries against another powerful ones as a threat just for keeping world peace is totally unwisely. Because some countries’ having nuclear weapon leaders can be rogue and intend to use this power against its enemy. For example North Korean leader gave a speech and threatened to USA with using their nuclear weapons against it and he added that they was continuing to produce those nuclear warhead that can reach all over the USA. This was a literally insane explanation and at this circumstances, no one can say that these nuclear weapons are tools keeping the world safe.
Secondly, although some people claim that nuclear power is the by for the best and cheap way to produce high energy, drawbacks are so serious and those can bring unavoidable problems such as nuclear leakage. Even though nowadays some countries declare that they are using high technology and there is no chance any leakage in nuclear plants, people understood that nuclear power will never be reliable when they saw what happened in Fukusima, japan. In Japan in 2011, leakage began in nuclear power plants because of the earthquake and tsunami, thus there was numerous casualty. To make matters worse, this radioactive materials was transferring by clouds so, with this event entire Europe was under danger. Everyone knows that Japan is the highest technological country in the world but this occasion told us that even though a country has highest technology, they can not be able to prevent dangerous of nuclear power.
Last but not least, nuclear power is not cheapest and cleanest energy as claimed by some people. Nowadays, I firmly believe that the most useful and clean energy is renewable energy sources such as wind power etc. Therefore, nowadays countries that is showed between the best economic position such as Germany, China, and Japan are closing their nuclear power plants one by one and producing their energy from other renewable sources. This kind of changes show us nuclear energy is not essential and clean to produce energy, thus, some powerful countries go towards another source of energy.
To sum up, people do not need to use nuclear energy and weapons. This is because, if nuclear weapons use by someone, there would not be any living in the world because of the effect of this power, also nuclear energy has a source of many damaging material producing radioactive energy and there is always a danger for spreading of those materials to over the world accidentally.
