Task1 - 2: The table below shows the percentage of the population by age groups in one town who rode bicycles in 2011.
The given table provides data on the proportions of a town's citizens in different age groups engaging in bicycling in 2011.
Overall, children under 9 years old show the greatest interest in riding bikes among the population. Besides, women seem to prefer cycling more than their counterpart.
For the feminine, over half of the girls who are under 9 years old are cyclists and the sportive activity remains considerable popularity for the group of teenage girls aged between 10 and 17. The figures experience continuous drops in the age groups between 18 to 39 and 40 to 59 with 17 and 12 percent respectively, then, a small leap to 19 percent for the old ladies over 60 years old.
On the masculine side, the same pattern with young boys below 9 years old with 51 percent riding bicycles. However, when the boys reach puberty, just nearly a quarter of the men still enjoy biking and the rate plummet to 8 percent among age group of 40 to 59, which is 6 times lower than the child group. At old age, only 14 percent of the men keeps the habit of riding a bicycle.
