The line graph given illustrates the data about how much tobacco was smoked by both genders in Someland over the course of 40 years, from 1960 to 2000.
In general, the proportion of men smoked saw a sharp decline, while there was a partial growth in the amount of smoking by women in Someland.
In 1960, 600 men in a total of 1000 people were smoking, while the percentage of women used tobacco just only 80 in total numbers. Over 40 years, the figure for men saw a significant reduction, about 250 people. On the contrary, though the number of female smokers had been always less than male smokers, their number progressed over time. The percentage of smoking in women rose gradually, about 190 people, from 1960 to 1965. And then, this number increased significantly after remaining stable, approximately 320. However, using tobacco in women saw a dramatic decline to 200 after remaining constant from 1975 to 1980.
