Explain why it would be beneficial for all the workers.
Dear Ms. Melissa,
I hope this letter finds you in best of spirit. I am writing to you to propose the idea of opening a pantry at work.
In my 3 years of tenure in this company, I have always wanted to bring up to the management the possbility of having a cafeteria. Just recently, the hawker place located across our building has been closed and the next place that we, employees, go to for lunch is about 3 blocks away.
As parents, we drive our children to school every morning and we would usually miss breakfast to avoid being late for work. In my opinion, it will be very helpful for the employees to have a go-to place inside the building, where we can buy our food and have an extra time to rest afterwards.
I have inquired with the building management regarding this and they informed me that we can utilize the unoccupied floor located 2 levels up. It is free of charge as long as we will be getting services from their list of affiliated food concesionnaires. They have provided me with a sample contract for the usage of the said floor incuding its terms and conditions.
If you are open to discussing this matter, we may meet at your most convenient time. Looking forward for a positive response from you and thank you.
Yours faithfully,
Joyce Smith
