The bar charts show the proportion percentage of European secondary school who are learning five different foreign languages in the year 1990, 2000, 2010.
Between 1990 and 2010 the proportion of English language expected to double growing from 60 percent to 80 percent. This is was true at Spanish. At the German language which made up 11 percent in 1990, was then increases 6 percent in the next decades, but in 2010 it dropped about 10 percent. This is also accurate in the Russian language.
The last language is the French language which made up 30 percent in 1990, but in 10 years it was decreased to 10 percent in 2010. This was continued in next time when it has 8 percent in 2010.
In summary, the bar chart illustrates the popularity of foreign language and dominant world languages, English in particular, are being widely taught. The exception of Spanish is being less popular.
