Some people say that music is a good way of bringing people of different cultures and ages together. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion
It is often argued that music plays a significant role to cut the long distance between various types of civilizations and generations. Although there are different ways to overcome the diversity between cultures, I think music and more broadly, the arts, have the power and ability to stir the senses, bring people together, trigger the emotions and transcend the boundaries of hearts and minds.
Undoubtedly, music is the universal language with an appeal that transcends language, cultural or religious boundaries. The notes played by a musician fall on the ears the same way whether you are American, African or Mexican. Engaging in musical activities with people of another culture or country can increase cultural understanding and tolerance. It is the ability to build bridges to other cultures and societies that makes music such a valuable educational and cultural tool. That is why, for instance, in a series of ingenious studies, researchers found that “musical reactivity is causally related to…basic social motivations” and that “reactivity to music is related to markers of successful group living.” In other words, music makes us affiliate with groups.
In addition, music provides a source of inspiration for all human being no matter their background, culture, nationality, age or language. All of these aspects show our education system, as music has always been viewed as a powerful tool in breaking barriers and promoting cross-cultural appreciation. That is why, such as there is a long and strong history of the U.S. State Department using music as a vehicle to promote cultural understanding.
To sum up, all of this evidence helps confirm music’s place in developing our social relationships. This suggests that, if we want to have a more harmonious society, we would do well to continue to include music in our—and our children’s—lives.

Nowadays, music is becoming
Nowadays, music is becoming an international language. Every year, a majority of festivals all over the world are being held to collect people from different ages and cultures. Therefore, I fundamentally agree with this statement, and I will support my view with many examples.
To begin with, music has many benefits. For psychological benefits, recent studies found that music can modify our mood to be better. For example, if you feel boring, you can simply listen to a music track, which may be energetic, and that will definitely help you to overcome your boredom. This is mainly because music stimulates our brain to secrete hormones such as endorphins and enkephalins, which are responsible for relief and relaxation feeling, and serotonin, which is the hormone of happiness. In addition, music festivals which have been organized every year would help a lot to unite more people and give them great hope that the world will be better later. Undoubtedly, those concerts include a wide variety of singers from different nationalities, ages, and thoughts as a sign of Peace and unity.
Moreover, music can be directed to charity. Every year, charitable and non-governmental organizations hold festivals or carnivals to collect more money for mentally-challenged and physically-challenged people. Besides those, many of them are interested in war-torn victims and starvation victims. Many benefactors, and benevolents donate their money and time to help these organizations without any benefit in return. Meanwhile, it contain people from different ages. As a result, it will give young people and adolescents a sense of identity, honor ,and responsibility, as well. Consequently, it will ensure a promising future for the whole world.
In conclusion, despite the fact that many may believe that music is not nessarily important, I argue that it encourages Peace and unity, which is paramount.
