The charts compare shopping sales via the internet for 4 categories in Canada in 2005 and 2010.
Looking at the graphs, it is immediately obvious that the percentages of 4 sectors changed significantly. While the figures for video games and food & beverage increased, there was a fall in the proportions of electronics & appliance and home furnishings.
In 2005, the percentage of online shopping sales on video games was 18%, which was the smallest proportion of all sectors. The figure then went up to 23% in 2010. Similarly, sales on food & beverage accounted for 22%, which then grew by 10% in the next 5 years.
In contrast, online sales on electronics & appliance occupied the largest proportion in 2015, at 35%. This figure then witnessed a slight decrease in the following 5 years. At the same time, 25% of the total online sales was on home furnishings in 2005, which saw a decline of 10% after 5 years.
