The raw cocoa is initially ground with a grinding machine to perfectly separate between the shell and fruit, then the shell as a by-product of these process is stored while the fruit is sent to the a heated chamber to be liquified. This is where the process diverges into two. From the chamber, the liquid cocoa is pressed to produce two products such as the cocoa powder and butter. Once this powder is ready, then it is delivered to a food industry, and the cocoa butter added sugar with and other ingredients is directly transferred to a chocolate industry to make bar of chocolate.
When it comes to the price of chocolate bar, the cost production makes up just under two-fifths, and this is by far the highest percentage of the chocolate pricing factors. The second proportion affecting chocolate prices places supermarket to distribute those bars in the market with just above a third. Tax comes third and contributed to 15% while chocolate companies relatively earn one in ten. Finally, farmers only gain a very small percentage (4%) compared to other factors.
Overall, the chocolate production consists of some stages, and the most affecting factor of the price of chocolate is the cost production while the lowest contribution of chocolate price is revenue to be given to farmers.
