The chart shows the percentage of the adult population employed in different categories in 2003 and 2013.
The given bar chart illustrates the figure for people hired in distinct career groups measured from 2003 to 2013.
This can clearly be seen that business reached the highest point of the population while the unemployed experienced the lowest figure in both the years 2003 and 2013.
Looking at the information in more detail, in 2003, the group of business reached the highest proportion of people, which occupied approximately 30% and made at least triple population as high as that in the group of self-employed. Also, the percentage of the medical sector reached the 18 marks, with that of the engineering category not far behind (16%). Besides, the proportion of education was 12%, compared to 9% of hospitality and 5% of the unemployed.
As illustrated, after ten years, business and medical had a fairly equal percentage of the population, which accounted for just over 25%. In addition, engineering and self-employed sectors witnessed a considerable increase to 18% and 15%, respectively. In contrast, hospitality and education experienced a dramatically downward movement to 7% and 5%, correspondingly. As a whole, the highest category still belonged to the unemployed, which made up 3% of the population.
