A local college is having an international day. You want to speak to students about your country from different cultures. Write a letter to the college head.
In the letter, you should:
tell him/her about the topics you are going to talk about
why would they be of interest to the students
ask for any arrangements that you need.
Dear Sir,
I am a Nepalese student from the school of arts at this University and I am writing to express my interest for representing my country on international day.
As you know, on this day international students have been invited to present about their countries to the august audience consisting of many distinguished guests from the national and international community. my fellow countrymen have decided unanimously that I should be the one to show a presentation about my country this year, especially focusing two popular tourist destinations: kathmandu and pokhara. kathmandu being the capital city of the country which was once the only Hindu kingdom in the world, draws a lot of tourists for its sumptuous temples. The architecture of these better known monuments are unique and worth having a look. On the other hand, pokhara is known more for its natural beauty. Foreigners enjoy the mesmerizing views of the mountains which form the background of the pristine lake situated in the centre of this city. I would like to introduce the popular sight-seeing spots in these cities which will be worth knowing for those who are curious and are considering a visit to the country soon.
Although, I assume there should be a LCD monitor available on the stage of the King's Hall where the program will take place, I would like to request for its prearrangement in the event that it might not have been asked for by other participants.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Yours faithfully,
Sanath
