The first map shows how existing Islip town centre and the second shows its planned development.
Overall, the town centre is predicted that will have more spots. Besides, there will be some location which will be deleted and replaced in the project.
At present, the space of shops is divided into two places and put beside the main road and the countryside. However, one in the north will be replaced by Bus station, Shopping centre, Car park and New housing. The pedestrians-only space will also substitute the Main road which will be separated to dual carriageway surrounding the centre except for a small part will be used for new housing. Meanwhile, the countryside will be erased in the new plan to give place for northern carriageway.
According to the plan, the housing location will be pulled down to the south-west and give way a half-space for new housing and shops instead of occupying nearly all space at the moment. Eventually, while almost all facilities will be changed in the developed plan, park and school with housing which places at the end of the south will be kept as original and they will be linked with the carriageway to move easily.
