The professor said that ,the smart cars do not provide the benefits as they mentioned in the passage.She refutes all the benefits which mentioned in the passage.
Firstly, She said that, the Smart car contain advance computer technology which control all things related to the car and driving on the highways. However if this technology fail when you drive ,then it can cause serious accident on the highway. Because the failure of machine stuck the car on the highway ,cause the obstacle to other cars.The professor directly refutes the benefit of smart cars that they will prevent many accident.
Secondly,Smart cars increase the highway speed and decrease the travelling time. According to the professor whenever the new driving convenient method in the market more people like to use it. So that will cause the more people to drive on highways. So that's why driver can't take the advantage of speed. The professor also refutes the second benefit of the smart car that it will reduce the traffic and increase the highway speed.
Lastly , She said that , Smart cars have the advaced techology and senseors which are more expensive.Moreover the repair cost of all of these will be more than that the older car parts like tires,brakes. The professor also refutes that the smart car will bring the cost reduction.
Finally, the professor refutes that smart car is cost effictive,increase the highway speed and will prevent the more accidents.
