Altruism
The professor in the lecture refutes the all examples which explain the altruism of animal.According to the recent experimental study she disagrees with the human and animal altruism behavior which is mentioned in the passage.
Firstly, She explains the behavior of meerkat. The meerkat eats before going to as a sentinel. The guard meerkat is full of stomach before going to a sentinel. The second things is that the sentinel escapes first after giving the alaram when sentinel see any predator. Actually sentinel try to save his life by giving the alaram to their group. So that the predator attension goes on another group members instead of sentinel. So that's why the professor said the sentinel meerkat behavior is not altruistic. She refutes that the sentinel meekat save their group life by puting his life in to danger.
The second example is about the human. The professor said that, the donar get the token of apprecition from the family member and from stranger when they donate any part of body. According to professor the non material thing is also valueable. So there is no feeling of sacrifice . Because the donar get the appretition. She contradicts the donar example which mentioned in the passage ,that giving their body organ is one of the altruism.
