You bought a TV a week ago but when you got home you discovered it did not work properly. You called customer service to report the problem but you have not yet received any help.
Write a letter to the company and in your letter:
• introduce yourself
• explain the problem
• and state what action you would like from the company
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing this letter to complain about my purchase from your store in Markham last week on 26th of June.
My name is Ali Larter and I am a regular customer who purchases variety of technological items from your store. I have not experienced any problems so far except this latest incident which made me deeply dissatisfied.
After I bought the TV which had a purchase number of A1111, I took it to my home to set it up to my living room. However, I realized that the TV’s screen was broken which impeded me to switch on the device. Due to this problem, I directly called the customer service to ask for help. They told me that I should have waited for the service to configure the equipment instead of opening the package myself not to lose the insurance rights. I felt deeply upset with this reply because noone told me to wait for the service to configure the item.
I ask you to replace my item with no extra fees this week or I want to get a refund if you cannot operationalize my request.
I look forward to hearing from you and hope you will fix my problem as soon as possible.
Yours faithfully,
Ali Larter
