The diagrams below show the stages and equipment used in the cement-making process and how cement is used to produce concrete for building purposes.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Given are two diagrams one of which illustrates the process of cement production, and the other one demonstrates concrete-making phases. Indicated in the first picture, the cement is made from clay and limestone through a variety of stages. It then contributes to the concrete-making process as one of the main ingredients (which is provided in the second diagram).
From the information supplied in the first diagram, it is evident that two ingredients –namely limestone and clay- are warranted to commence the process. Passing through a crusher, they turn into a powder. Subsequently, they mix together in a tool which has a cylindrical shape, becoming ready to be rotated and heated in an even bigger cylinder at the next stage. The produced product is passed through a grinder, converting to cement, ultimately.
The second diagram pictures the process of concrete production starting by putting primary ingredients into a huge mechanical instrument which is consumed to mix the ingredients and produce the concrete. Half of gravel, one-fourth of sand, 10% water and 15% concrete are required to set up the process.
Overall, two diagrams provided show how cement is made from clay and limestone and further is used as a vital material to start concrete-making process.
