Two data provided are pointing the internet activities in several major countries in Europe. First data
reveals empirical data interpreting the total number of internet users in 1995-2004 whilst the second
data accounts percentage of sales of internet-based shopping in 2004. At the first glance, British
people mainly utilize the internet the most during the period among other countries.
Becoming popular since 1995, internet in UK has the highest active users of 16 millions compared to
other nations which have an insignificant users of under 5 millions. For the next decades, Internet
popularity to the UK’s citizen steadily rise - indicated by an increasing number of internet users - until
reach 41-million users in 2004. In spite of an exponential increase in France in 2000, internet users in
Switzerland, Germany, and Spain escalate slightly over the years.
As the obvious data designated, UK contribute to almost 50-percent sales of internet shopping in
Europe due to its outstanding number of internet users in 2004.
