The graph below shows the number of overseas visitors to three different areas in a European country between 1987 and 2007.
The given graph presents data about the number of foreign tourists from a European country who visited three different areas in this country over a period of 20 years from 1987 to 2007. An overall view indicates that the number of visitors has increased.
First of all, as can be seen, the coast was the most popular area for visitors in 1987, by 40 thousand visitors. Despite the reduction in the number of people who preferred to spend their time at the beach, in 1992 (around 35), from 1992 to 2007, there is an upward trend which shows that the number of visitors has boosted sharply and reached to more than 70 thousand.
On the other hand, in 1987, the mountains were the second popular area for visitors by 20 thousand people, which was twice more than the number of visitors to the lake. However, there is a slight increase in a number of the mountains’ visitors through the mentioned period, there is a significant rise in the number of people who visited the lake. This figure peaked at 75 thousand in 2000 and then experienced a sharp downward trend which reaches to 50 thousand in 2007.
