However, the proportion of men and children remained the same for initial three years, and then rose sharply the next year. Following that gradual increase was observed.
As shown in the bar chart, in 2001, 20% of women ate five parts of fruits and vegetables in a day whereas less percentage of male and children took them, approximately over 15% and 10% respectively. The proportion of females increased over the given time period reaching above 30% in 2006, and then decreased slightly in the coming two years.
The percentage of men and children remained the same until 2003, and then increased sharply to just above 20% and 15% respectively in 2004. In 2006, the highest proportion of males eating the given amount of fruits and vegetables were observed, and they were mid-way between 25% and 30%. It declined little bit in the following years. 25% of children ate the specified products in 2007, which was the maximum proportion in the provided time period.
