You are living overseas and you have just come across an article about your country in a magazine where some of the information are incorrect. Write a letter to the editor.
In the letter, you should:
• explain that an article contains wrong information
• supply the correction information instead
• provide some more interesting information for the editor to publish in the future.
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing this letter to highlight an incorrect piece of information relevant to my country mentioned in an article published by your newspaper recently.
In an article published by your newspaper on July 5th, inaccurate information was given about the natural resources of Pakistan. This article was based on Asian countries and their assets. It was written in the article that Pakistan is the third largest producer of salt and coal in the world whereas it is the largest salt and coal producing country. However, Saudi Arabia and Philippine are at the second and third numbers respectively in yielding these sources.
In addition to this, my country also has rich resources of other minerals, for instance, Copper, Bronze and Silver. It does not only export products made of these minerals and earn money but also provides local people with employment opportunities. So my country is economically stable and its unemployment rate is quite lower similar to developed countries in the west.
You could also publish these social and economic facts of my country in future. I would be happy to provide you more information about it.
Your Sincerely,
John Paul.
