The chart illustrates the number and the percentage of international students who studied in the US received the principal financing sources from 2003/04 to 2013/14
For a brief overview, it could be clearly recognized that there was a noticeable tendency towards sponsor by ‘’ Foreign government(?) or university’’, and ‘’current employer’’ during the period between 2003/04 and 2013/14. The number of students who were funded from(?) all the sources witnessed a significant increase in the same period.
In particular, it shows two principal financial assistance were ‘‘ personal(?) and family’’ and ‘‘US college or University’’, which accounted for 90% of funding in 2003/2004, equivalent to 959,672 students. However, it still exists a decrease of 6% over ten years.
Meanwhile, Substantial growth in the number of international students who received financing from ‘ Foreign Government or University’ and ‘Current Employer’ were experienced over the ten-year period, equivalent to 383% and 390%. Even though they still accounted for only a small part of the principal financial assistance, both of the sources have become more important to foreign students in the period.
