TPO 49 Writing IntegratedLike many creatures, humpback whales migrate long distances for feeding and mating purposes. How animals manage to migrate long distances is often puzzling. In the case of humpback whales, we may have found the answer: they may be
Actually, both the passage and the lecture comments about humback whales which migrate in order to find food or achieve mating goals. Although the passage brings three hypothesizes for proving the idea that humback whales navigate by the stars, the professor puts those theories under question by adding some accurate illustrations. According to the lecture, none of those mentioned reasons are convincing.
First, as declared by the article, humbacks' brain is so intricate that it can be counted as a strong proof for claiming the thought that humback whales use stars as a mean for navigating. The lecturer; however, refutes the statement by exemplifying ducks. Although they don't have a sophisticated brain and they aren't counted as an intelligent animal, they usually utilize the stars to find their ways.
Next, as expressed in the writing, since the humbacks migrate in straight direction, they undeniably orient themselves by som external objects or forces; therefore, considering the fact that whales live in ocean where they aren't any other items that help humback to depend on it, they have to refer to the sky to migrate; nonetheless, the lecturer rebuts the claim by emphasizing the fact that regarding the existence of biomagnetic substance in the humbacks brains, the earth magnetic field is an exterior thing for animals' navigation.
Finally, the author reinforces the idea by adding the fact that whales sometimes do an odd behavior which can be seen seldom among marines. The writer elaborates on this claim that they do such actions to look at the stars. Quite the opposite, the orator dismisses that by indicating the sharks as a paradox example. Albeit they do spy-hopping, they never migrated. she puts forward that the sky-hopping sometimes can be watched during days.
