The two graph show the main sources of energy in the USA in the 1980s and the 1990s.
Write a report for a university lecturer describing the changes which occurred.
The pie charts illustrate the information about the terms of percentage of five major sources (oil, natural gas, coal, hydroelectric power and nuclear power) of energy production which was in one decades in the America during 1980 and 1990.
In overall, oil constituted a major for generated power since hydroelectric power produced least energy. However, there were lots of transformation can be noticed in all energy sources over the periods.
It can be seen from the information that oil which was composed of 42% in 1980 and fell to a third between 1990 of the total energy, which was expect a third of the total contribution,though it was still the highest over the period of decades. Likewise, nuclear power which accounted for 5% of the USA’s energy from 1980 and experienced a two-fold increase to one in ten at the last year in specific region.
The charts further prove that contribution of hydroelectric power remained constant in both years at 5%. In contrast, energy contribution from coal was 22% in 1980 and experienced a growth of 5% from the end of the period. Lastly, natural gas that comprised of almost a little more than a quarter remained relatively stable during the given time periods in the USA.
