In all three locations, people spent most of their money on books and other publishing products, with around 80 billion dollars in United States and under 50 billion in the remaining continents. Following that was the expense on television, which were approximately 50 billion, 30 billion and 20 billion dollars for United States, Europe and Asia respectively. Spending on cinema shape a tiny fraction in all three areas.</span><br style="box-sizing: border-box; color: rgb(68, 68, 68); font-family: "Open Sans", "Helvetica Neue", sans-serif; font-size: 14px; white-space: normal;"><span style="color: rgb(68, 68, 68); font-family: "Open Sans", "Helvetica Neue", sans-serif; font-size: 14px; white-space: normal;">In 2000, United States saw a dramatic increase in total expense for leisure, to 257 billion dollars, whereas there was a smaller rise of that in Europe and Asia, to 131 billion and 110 billion respectively. Publishing continued to be the most preferable form of entertainment in America and Europe, with approximately 220 billion dollars in America and 50 billion for the later. Meanwhile, most of Asian people’s recreation spending went on television, at nearly 50 billion dollars, followed by the leisure cost for publishing, of around 40 billion. The amount of money spent on music, video and cinema in all three areas was well under 30 billion dollars.</span><br>
