The first chart below shows how energy is used in an average Australian household. The second chart shows the greenhouse gas emissions which result from this energy use.
The first chart provides information about each Australia household’s average energy consumption and the second chart illustrates the percentages of greenhouse emission from the use of energy.
Overall, heating is the most significant energy consumption of Australia, while every Aussie household used the least energy on the cooling system. In comparison, water heating is the largest greenhouse gas emissions and the lowest emissions are made by cooling used.
To be more precise, the heating system accounted for 42% of energy consumption in Australia and just under a third of the energy used in water heating. Meanwhile, other appliances consume less than a fifth of the energy used in each Australia household. Refrigeration, which comprises almost seven percent of the country’s energy use, whereas cooling and lighting have the least amount of energy consumptions at 2% and 4%, respectively.
On the other hand, about three out of ten of greenhouse emissions is made by water heating and other appliances is the second largest of emissions from greenhouse gas, which is at twenty-eight percent. Almost less than a fifth of harmful gas emissions by using the heating system and refrigerator. Followed by the emissions from cooling and lighting are made up of 3% and 8%, respectively.
