Dear Tim,

How have you been since we last met?

I just wanted to inquire a few details about a position for a tour guide in your country that matches my skill-set.

As you already know, New York is the top-ranked tourist destination, and increasing tourism is the best way to expand my work network. There are also three new museums and a public building that is inaugurated this year, which gives me more options to explore job opportunities in this country.

I have recently completed my “USA tour guide association certificate” so that I can apply for jobs in the US tourist market. In total, my current experience as a tour guide is of 10 years, covering Europe and Middle East Asia. I am sure you remember that we could only go to the Mexico trip because of my Spanish skills but don’ be surprised as I have now added Cantonese and Mandarin languages as well in my resume along with french and german from my Europe tour experience.

There is a job opening that I am particularly interested in at the Metropolitan Museum of arts. Their language criteria and curator experience requirement is a perfect match for my resume. So, if you could let me know their working hours and office contact number, then it would be a great help in arranging the interview sooner.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Best,

Ron
