The given pie chart illustrates the percentage intake of several nutrients by the people of USA through their regular daily meals. Over consumption of these nutrients, which are sodium, saturated fat and sugar may lead to some health issues in the future.
It clearly shows that, nearly half of daily sodium intake is happened at dinner, where as 29 percentage is consumed during lunch. Rest of sodium is evenly distributed in breakfast and snacks, which is 14 percentage precisely. Same as sodium intake, majority of saturated fat enters the human body at dinner and then at lunch, 37 percentage and 26 percentage respectively. The least consumption is during breakfast, which is 16 percentage and remaining at snacks.
Apart from the other two cases, sugar intake is extremely different. Sugar is highly consumed at snacks ( 42%) and least is at breakfast (16%). Even if the whole sugar intake of dinner and lunch is combined together still it falls below the percentage of snacks.
