The percentage of household using one car was hovering between 40 and 50 percent. Meanwhile, it is shown that the graph trend of households using two cars was increasing drastically, from less than 10 percent in the beginning to more than 25 percent in the end. Similiarly, the number of those using three cars or more rose too but not as significantly as the previous one’s – in the end of the period, 2007, it only reached below 10 percent. In contrast, along the period, the households with no car were drastically slumped, from almost 50 percent in 1971 to about 25 percent in 2007.
It is concluded that, in the country, the trend of using private car was increasing as shown on the graph; more and more families were using their own car instead of public means of transportation.
