water usage in the USA states and worldwide
The pie charts illustrate the comparison of how much water two states of the USA and the world use in terms of percentage.
Evidently, the water usage by residents in San Diego made up a largest contribution - over 60%, in contrast aqua usage for agricultural purpose is the least sector - 17%. At the same time, industrial accounted for 23% of aqua use.
comparing with the same purposes in California, different segments are relatively similar to those, which are in San Diego, but still are diverse by approximately 10-20% for each; meanwhile, residential purpose is still the largest sector, 39%, which is smaller at 21%, in comparison to contribution in another state, mentioned above. With regards to agricultural and industrial sectors, they made up a smaller part of the chart at about 28 and 33%, respectively.
In contrast, the worldwide agriculture is the most significant part of aqua use, that is nearly 69%, yet the states have a lower percentage of it, at about three times. Whilst the same proportion of water (23%) is used for industry in both San Diego and the whole word, it accounted for only 8% of residential purpose, which is the smallest contribution, comparing with other selected cities.
