The bar chart gives the information about sales of four different kinds of digital games around the world over a 6-year period.
It is clear that sales of handheld games were highest among these four categories, namely mobile phone games, online games, console games and handheld games between 2000 and 2006. While figures for console games fell steadily during the same period.
In 2000, worldwide sales of handheld games stood at around 11 billion dollars, while console games earned just around 6 billion. The next 6-year saw an increase in sales of handheld games, reached around 18 billion dollars in 2006. On contrary, the figure for consoles games smoothly fell by about 4 billion until 2006.
It is noticeable that figures for mobile phone games and onlion games are not included in 2000. But there was a increasement in sales of mobile phone games, from only around 2 billion dollars in 2002 to 7 billion in 2006. The similar phenomenon occurred in the figure for online games, in 2001, it earned only 1 billion dollars, achieving 9 billion in 2006, which is also 2 billion higher than mobile phone games.
