The tables below give information about sales of Fairtrade-labelled coffee and bananas in 1999 and 2004 in five European countries
The charts provide information about how much money was earned by sales Fairtrade products, such as coffee and bananas in 1999 and 2004 in five European countries.
Overall, coffee sales experienced a significant increase in all the given countries. As for the sales of bananas, Denmark and Sweden showed an incrediable decrease while the numbers of remaining countries growed. Another worth noticing fact is that the number one ranked country in terms of bananas sales was Switzerland in both 1999 and 2004.
Looking at the details of coffee, it can be seen that Switzerland had the greatest amount of money, showing 3 million euros. The figure of the UK are lower tahn that one of Denmark, 1,5 and 1,8 in turn.
In 2004, coffee sales grew twice in Switzerland, but the highest sale experienced in the USA, at 20 million euros.
Turning to the details of bananas, Switzerland headed the list with 15 million euros jn 1999. Other countries' sale were less than 2 million euros. I. 2004, bananas sale in Swifzerland rises about three times. Also, the numbers of the UK and Belgium went upward.
