Your local council is considering closing a sports and leisure center that it runs, in order to save money.
Write a letter to the local council , in your letter
• give details of how you and your friends or family use the center
• explain why the sports and leisure center is important for the local community
• describe the possible effects on local people if the center closes.
Dear Sir,
I am writing to raise my concern regarding our sports and leisure center, which is being considered to close down soon by the local council. It is to bring it in your knowledge that I along with my family and friends use this park on daily basis. Infact, it is a central point where I meet my friends to socialize and share our daily life stories. Moreover, we also do some physical activities over there in order to remain healthy.
The sports and leisure center is playing a very crucial role in the development of physical and mental health of the local community. The sports center is used by all age group throughout the day for various purposes such as for meeting with someone and doing physical exercise to maintain their health. Furthermore, this is the only sports and leisure center in our vicinity with huge influx of local community.
If the center is closed then the local public will be deprived of the sports center and there will be no place where the locals can meet with their friends and share their daily stories in order to socialize and do physical exercises simultaneously. Thus, it might become the reason of increasing stress level in people which possibly may lead to severe diseases like heart stroke, kidney and lungs failure.
I believe this question needs your close consideration.
Yours faithfully
Jeetender
