In the past two decades we have seen how technology have transformed. From the times where 1 out of 10 people used to have car, to this time where one household have two vehicles. Apart from this change, living standards of people have improved drastically. This effect can be clearly visible in the data provided in the bar chart.
The data shows the comparison between trip made to school in the year 1990 and 2010. The figures have shown a drastic change in majorly two means of transport,i.e car and walking. There has been increased in the amount of children travelling through car, which shows living standards of people have improved. It also means that adults are becoming more and more careful about its child safety.
Secondly, there has been decrease in the children walking to the school, the figures are almost half of the previous year. Also children going to school via cycle have also dropped by one third. Both of these figures and data shows only one thing that today's young generation is becoming more and more lazy. One more thing that can also be derived from this data is that, adults are becoming more cautious, and rather prefer other means of transport.
Last but not least, there has not been much difference between children travelling through bus. This mean some adults prefer bus, while some prefer their own vehicle to take their child to the school.
In nut shell, we can conclude from the given data that, though there are many factors such as innovation of technology or improving living standard, but the primary concern of most of the adults is the safety and security of their child.
