Vertical bar chart illustrates the percentage of 5 different age groups of British people donating money to charity in 2 different years (1990 and 2010).
In the first place, as it can be seen in the chart given that in 1990 around 20% of young Britishers gave money to charity. British citizens in early 30s gave slightly more than that. But adults (36-50 year olds) are at their peak of donating of a whopping 40% and more people participating in giving money to organisations. It can be clearly seen that the percentage gradually decreases with people over 50.
Secondly, it can be seen in the chart that in the year 2010 young adults aged less than 25 are not keen on donating, in fact, approximately 6% of residents did. Nevertheless, Britishers older than 25 but younger than 35 are almost fivefolds more into giving money to organisations. While the percentage gradually grows and reaches the peak of approximately 38 per cent of participants (aged 51-65 years old) contributing to the idea of giving to charities, it can also be seen that the numbers are decreasing and 65 year olds contribute a bit less then the previous age group.
Overall, it can be seen that in 1990 British citizens aged 18-50 were participating more in charities than 2010 adults, but older adults and elders (50 -65+ year olds) in the year 2010 participated slightly more.
