Animal fossils provide less information about actual animal tissues because it has been replaced by minerals. Both the lecturer and article discuss the possibility of actual tissue remains in the fossils of Tyrannosaurus rex (T. rex), a dinosaur. The former was not convinced about the presence of actual animal tissue while lateral emphasizes the fossils have actual remains of blood vessels, red blood cells, and college.
The first point of the discussion revolves around the presence of blood vessels. The instructor cast doubt about this theory. He explains that soft tissue that they found is not blood vessels. He says that once the organism lives in the bone they colonize their and make hollow space. So the soft material they found is not the blood vessels it might be the soft substance which forms after the colonizing by the organism. However, the article claims that the fossil of legs mentions the branches of small tissue presence.
Moreover, another topic of debate is the presence of spheres that could be the red blood cells. Once again the professor was not convinced about the theory. He mentions that fossils of other animals which they found near this fossil they don't have spheres than how come this fossil was left with spears. He says that red material they found it might be red minerals. On the other hand, the article states that various parts of inner bone show the presence of spheres which could be the red blood cells.
Last but not list, we reach the final argument about it contains collagen. The professor says that we can not find the collage on the fossils which was 1000 years old then how can we see the collage on the fossils which is 70 million years ago. He says that this theory contradicts the idea. He also explains that collagen may come from the skin of humans because humans contain it. Nevertheless, the passage highlight that dinosaur leg bone showed the presence of collagen.
