A friend of yours recently gave you a nice birthday present. Write a letter to your friend. In your letter,
- Thank her for the present and say why you like it.
- Describe some other presents that you received
- explain some of the things you did on your birthday.
Dear Jay,
how are you? I was organising the birthday present I received yesterday and couldn't resist myself from writing you how much your gift lifted up my mood! Thank you for choosing such a thoughtful item. I liked the package because you found the two books I was looking for last few weeks and the blue earrings I found extremely classy. I must say, your idea of wrapping the items with ribbons and chocolates at the top made me giggle!
Apart from your lovely gift, I got bag, perfume, photo frames and a kitten this year from my friends and family. are you surprised reading about the kitten? Yes, I felt the same. this is from my younger brother, he knew I couldn't have a pet because of my mom. but now, since I have moved out, he thought about fulfilling my dream. I am so happy to be honest, but at the same time little concern on how to take care of it as I will be at work most of the days.
this year I could not do much to celebrate the occasion due to the flu I am having. However, my parents came down to see me with cake and home cooked meal. so, we had a family lunch and watched a movie at home in the afternoon.
I hope you will come by this weekend as I am planning to have a post birthday celebration on Saturday evening. do let me know if you have any allergens.
With love,
Shahla
