The charts illustrate the differences in the use of water for three categories (agriculture, domestic, and industry) in various nations compared to that of the world in 2000, measured in percentage.

Overall, it is clear that Asian countries commonly used water for agricultural purpose, whereas water was used mostly for industry section in Canada. Additionally, New Zealand mainly used water in domestic field in the research year.

More specifically, India had the highest percentage of water used in agriculture, with a rate of over nine-tenths compared to 70% of that of the world generally. Meanwhile, Chinese farming purpose was widely dependent on the use of water, with roughly similar amount of that of the world in the observed year.

On the other hand, Canada experienced an opposite trend in the use of water, with 80% water used for industrial intention, which was eight times higher as opposed to that of New Zealand in 2000. New Zealand, however, shared approximately the same proportion of water use in agricultural and domestic fields, with 44% and 46% respectively in 2000.
