The line chart compares and contrasts data on the changes in the number of students graduated from university, separated by gender, in Canada over a 16-year period, starting from 1992.
Overall, the number of male university graduates was far less than that of their counterparts. Additionally, both genders experienced an increase in the number of students graduated throughout the observed period.
More specifically, despite starting at over 70,000 students in 1992, the figure for male students graduated from university gradually increased and reached roughly 75,000 students in the next four years. However, the number of male graduated students witnessed a downward trend of about 4,000 students in 1999, followed by a rapid rise to over 95,000 students in the final research year.
Furthermore, their counterparts showed a similar trend, to begin with. Starting at approximately 105,000 students in 1995, the figure for female students slightly decreased and remained at 100,000 students in three consecutive years, from 1997 to 1999. However, its figure soon significantly rose by over 45,000 students at the end of the period.
