Essay topics:

You want to improve your knowledge of a foreign language which can help you at work. Write a letter to a foreign language teacher. In your letter, you should tell:

– Where did you hear about the teacher?
– Why do you want to learn a foreign language?
– Ask some questions about the course.

Dear Mr. Smith,

I am writing this letter with regards to enquire about the short term English language course.

I came to know about you from one of my friends, Miguel, he was your student 1 years back and took English classes for 3 months. He insisted me to take classes for you as he had a wonderful learning experience at your acadmey.

I am a Business Analyst by profession, which requires me to have strong verbal and written communication skills as I need to prepare business documents and give presentations. Additionally, most of our clients are from English speaking countries, and to avoid any kind of miscommunication it is vital for me to master this language.

Before I join the class, I would like to have answers for a few queries. How much time do you think I will need to be a fluent English speaker and how much will you charge for the lessons? Also, will I be taught to read and write English in addition to speaking it?

I look forward to hearing from you.

Yours Sincerely
Mukesh Kumar
