effect of commercial fossil collectors
The reading passage state that commercial fossil collectors have a bad influence on the fossils and scientific research however, the professor on the lecture casts doubt on the points expressed in the passage.
First, the article considers that the collectors excavate the fossils and to purchase them far from the general public, on the contrary, the professor contradicts the idea and further explains that in most situations collectors sell fossils to the libraries or schools for general exhibition and research.
Second, the reading claims that the scientists lose access to the most important fossils admittedly, the speaker in the article justified the information presented in the passage and makes the point that it's not true and in every excavation for fossils, the first one who see and research on the validity of them is a scientist.
Third, the author in the passage puts forward the idea that the fossils collectors pay no attention to how fossils lie and maybe make the damage on them on the other hand, the professor validates the point and adds that it didn't have negative points in compare with the advantage of excavation more fossils for research and exhibition.
