The graph below shows the amounts of waste produced by three companies over a period of 15 years.
The line chart compares three different companies in terms of their waste output between the years 2000 and 2015.
It is clear that all three companies experienced significant changes in waste production throughout the 15 years. Overall, the amounts of waste discharged by companies A and B both declined considerably, whereas company C’s waste output increased dramatically.
In 2000, company A produced 12 tonnes of waste, which was remarkably higher than the figures for companies B and C, at only 8 and 4 tonnes respectively. By 2005, the amounts of toxic waste released by companies B and C had fairly rose by 2 tonnes, while company A had reduced their waste output to approximately 11 tonnes over the same period.
From 2005 to 2015, there was a plummet of roughly 7 tonnes in company B’s waste production, followed by a moderate decrease of about 3 tonnes in company A’s. By contrast, company C’s waste output soared, surpassing the others at 10 tonnes of waste, while the respective amounts of waste produced by company A and B were 8 and 3 tonnes at the end of the period.
