The given bar chart compares doctors and people of different occupational backgrounds in terms of their yearly salary in the year 2004. These workers are categorized by nationalities, including French, Italian, Czech, German, Finnish, Swiss, and American.
In general, doctors fared considerably better than other employees in all seven countries. Additionally, American staff received the most generous amount paid by their employers when compared to other nations’ workers.
Among seven countries, US doctors’ annual income was the highest which amounted to 120 thousand dollars, as opposed to only about 42 thousand dollars for people working in other sectors. Following behind American doctors, French and Swiss physicians generally earned $70 thousand in 2004 respectively. In contrast, the amounts paid for other workers from these two countries were moderately low, at only $35,000 for French and $40,000 for Swiss.
In Italy, Czech Republic, Germany, and Finland, approximately $60 thousand were allocated annually for salary payment to doctors of each nation, which was only half as much as the yearly earnings of those from the US. Other employees from these countries were paid the least, whose income varied around 20 thousand dollars per year.
