The given diagram depicts the process of generating electricity at a power station.
As a whole, the procedure commences with water from river travels to a container at a high place and finishes after the water is processed in a power station to meet the product.
At the initial step, the water flow goes into a high-level reservoir which is associated with a dam. This container operates by opening during daytime to get intake and closes when it comes to night. The current of water divided into two ways. In one way, water is directed from the dam to the power station only at daytime and go through turbines which are in the power station and has function of being reversible to reach another reservoir with low level. The other is to head in an inverse way for pumping from the low-level container, which is merely available at night.
In the power station, the turbines operate in two shifts in which they direct water back to the high-level reservoir and in the other shift, generator is controlled by the turbines at daytime. Electricity after being generated underdoes power lines to national gird and is ready for using.
