migration of dinosaur
Both the author and the lecturer discuss the migration of a special kind of dinosaur (edmontosaur). While the author advanced three hypotheses to account for this claim, the lecturer state that the fundamental reason is yet to be discovered and none of the explanations put forth in the reading passage is adequate.
First, the author suggested that this kind of dinosaur migrate to the more hospitable region because there is no food in wintertime. However, the lecturer refutes this idea, arguing that warm temperature in summer causes many plants to grow and in the winter these plants died and they are enough adequately for edmontosaur feeding.
Furthermore, the reading passage holds the view that the fossils of edmontosaur skeleton show that they lived in the herd and so they migration each wintertime. On the contrary, the professor underlines the fact that many specious of animals live in the herd but they don’t migrate every year. The lecturer goes on to suggest that the animals live together because of many reasons such as extra protection against the predator.
Finally, the reading passage states that this kind of dinosaur had physically capable of migration. In contrast, the speaker dismisses this issue due to the fact that a kind of these animals didn’t have the capability of migration and she contradicts this reason.
