The maps compare the layout of a public park called Grane in its opening year 1920 and as it is now.
It is clear that apart from the rose garden in the Northwest and the two entrances, the rest of the park’s features has been completely replaced.
Both in the two maps, visitors can access Grane park either through the entrance on the Arnold Avenue side or the one on the Eldon street side. Also, a new underground parking area has been built, which can be approached through the entrance on the East side. Of the three rose garderns in 1920, only the garden on the Northwest remains unchanged.
Major transformations can be seen in other features. Firstly, in the middle of the park, a large rose garden has been grown on the place where the fountain was previously placed. In addition to this, seats were organized around four sides of the garden instead of being allocated at different corners of the park. Moreover, major changes include the conversion of the musicians’ stage into an amphitheatre with greater capacity, the replacement of the glass house by the water feature, and the development of a playground for children.
