The charts illustrate the key causes such as (for career and interest) of study between the students having the different age groups as well as the ratio of support they received from employers. Units are expressed in percentages.
Overall, there is a significant percentage of the age( under 40) pupils who study for their career as opposed to the age of over 49 students who study for interest. Moreover, it is noted that, the more younger students received support from employers as compared to the age group of (30-39) which receive the least amount of support.
In terms of reasons for study, exactly 80% of under 26 aged students study for a career while this proportion stands at only 10% for interest. Similarly, the tutees who are over 25 and under 40 having the percentage(about 70% and 60% respectively) whereas for interest this rate stood at ( approximately above 10% and 30% severally). By contrast, exactly 70% of over 49 years of age group students study according to their interests.
On the other hand, the high amount of younger students received support like time off and help with the fees nearly 60% and this continues declining as the age grows and reaches the lowest of about 30% for the age group of 30-39. However, after this age employers give more support to the students having the age of under 40 near 35% in comparison with the age group over 49 which received around 42% of support from employers.
