The table shows the amount of money given in aid of technology of developing countries by charities in the US, EU and other countries from 2006 to 2010.
The table gives information about the contribution of the US, the EU and other countries in the total charitable fund for technology given to developing counties between 2006 and 2010.
Overall, the US has given the highest amount of money throughout the 4-year period. In terms of the total money that went to technology aid, there was a steady increase.
In 2006, the US spent 9.7 billion USD on technology support for developing countries. This figure was almost triple that of EU countries, and nearly four times higher than the spending of other countries (at 2.7 billion). The following years saw a steep and constant rise in the amount of money given to third-world countries by the US, peaking at 22.7 billion USD in 2010. A similar increasing trend, but at a much slower pace, was seen in EU countries.
Regarding other countries, their contribution to charities rose slightly between 2006 and 2008, before dropped to a trough of 2.6 billion USD in 2009. Their figure then rebounded and reached a peak of 3.3 billion USD at the end of the period.
